Supporting Victims through Safety Planning, Healing, Justice Process, Restitution & Stability.

Victim Services of Haldimand Norfolk Mississaugas Of The Credit First Nation offer a 24 hour, 7 day a week, crisis support, practical assistance, information and referral program to victims of crime, tragic circumstance and disaster.

If you have been a victim you have a right to assistance!

Help When It Is Needed

Victim Services is a community-based, staff-driven, volunteer-supported organization of crisis advocates trained to provide much-needed support to victims in their time of need.

Emergency response personnel may call on the program to provide immediate assistance or contact Victim Services on the victim’s behalf to arrange a follow-up contact later.

We offer victims one-on-one assistance to help deal with the concerns arising from a criminal or traumatic incident or situation.

Our representatives work closely with community agencies to provide an efficient and comprehensive service to ensure that the needs of each victim are appropriately met.

We provide Mobile Emergency Response System (MERS) alarms to those at medium to high risk of violence. We provide immediate financial compensation to victims of the most violent crimes for counselling, funeral and emergency expenses through the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP).

Our Mandate

Victim Services is a non-profit, charitable, community-based inclusive service that supports a diverse range of victims and their families through a trauma-informed lens. Victim Services assists with compassion, confidentially and respect, with the principles of empowerment and prevention through advocacy. We take a leadership role in developing partnerships to build and maintain healthier communities.
