24/7 Victim Support Line

We provide immediate, round-the-clock support to individuals and families affected by crime, tragedy, or sudden loss. Our dedicated crisis advocates are available 24/7 to offer emotional support, practical assistance, and guidance whenever you need it most. Whether you are at home, in the hospital, or at the scene of an incident, we’re just a phone call away, ready to help you through difficult times.

Navigating the aftermath of a crime or crisis can be overwhelming. We are here to help you find the necessary resources and support to move forward. Our team assists with connecting you to community resources, navigating the justice system, and advocating on your behalf. We ensure you have access to the services that matter most to you, including housing, financial aid, legal support, and more.


Victim Crisis ASSISTANCE ONTARIO (VCao)

Our Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO) offers immediate, on-site support for individuals and families impacted by crime or sudden tragedy. Available 24/7, our specially trained crisis advocates respond directly to emergency scenes, hospitals, or homes to provide comprehensive assistance. Our goal is to be a steady presence during difficult times, offering the support and resources necessary to begin the healing process.

Through the VCAO, we offer:

  • Emotional Support: We provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to help victims and their families cope with the immediate aftermath of an incident.

  • Safety Planning: We work with victims to develop personalized safety plans that address their unique situations, helping them feel secure and empowered.

  • Practical Assistance: From arranging emergency accommodations to assisting with transportation and other urgent needs, we ensure that victims receive the help they need during a crisis.

  • Information and Referrals: We connect victims to essential services, including counselling, legal support, and community resources, ensuring they can access the long-term care they need.


Safety Planning

Safety is a priority, especially for those at risk of ongoing violence or abuse. Our safety planning services involve working with you to create a personalized plan that addresses your specific needs and circumstances. This may include strategies for leaving an unsafe environment, steps to protect your privacy, and connections to shelters or other secure locations. We’re here to help you feel safe and empowered, no matter your situation.


Mobile Emergency Response System (MERS)

The Mobile Emergency Response System (MERS) is designed to provide an added layer of security for individuals at risk of violence. With real-time GPS tracking and emergency response capabilities, MERS offers peace of mind for those in vulnerable situations. Our team collaborates with local law enforcement and service providers to ensure that help is available.


Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP+)

When financial barriers arise in the wake of a crime, the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) is here to help. We provide immediate financial assistance for essential needs such as counselling, emergency accommodations, and funeral costs. VQRP is designed to alleviate some financial stress from unexpected tragedies, allowing you to focus on healing and recovery.


Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention

We are committed to preventing and combating human trafficking through education, intervention, and direct support for victims. Our Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention program works to protect those at risk and support survivors as they rebuild their lives.

  • Education and Awareness: We provide training and resources to schools, community organizations, and service providers to help identify and prevent human trafficking. Our goal is to raise awareness and equip our community with the tools to recognize and respond to trafficking situations.

  • Direct Support for Victims: We offer specialized services for victims of human trafficking, including safety planning, emergency accommodations, and access to essential resources. Our team works closely with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure survivors receive comprehensive care.

  • Community Collaboration: We collaborate with local and regional partners to strengthen our efforts to prevent trafficking and support survivors, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.


Benevolent Fund

Our Benevolent Fund provides additional financial support when provincial funding limits have been reached. We work closely with community partners to ensure that those in need receive practical assistance that addresses immediate and long-term challenges. This fund is available to help cover expenses outside traditional support systems, offering a lifeline when needed most.


Emergency Accommodation

Finding a safe place to stay can be a critical concern in times of crisis. We work with local housing services and shelters to arrange emergency accommodations for needy individuals and families. We aim to provide you with a secure environment while we help you explore longer-term housing solutions. We are here to support you every step of the way as you work towards rebuilding your life.
